binding off socks
I finished my first sock, and I love it.

I am dis-satisfied with the strange extra stitches at the toe, but I am not Minty, and not nearly anal enough to frog it. The only problem I had was that when I tried to bind it off, and I was doing it loosely, it was *so* tight around my leg. So I ripped it out and did a crochet edge where I added a crocheted stitch between each stitch while I was binding off. It gives it kind of a funny lettuce edge when it's off, but it's much better on.

How do others avoid the too-tight top on socks?

that sock is so cute. is it a toe-up sock? how about binding off with a larger needle? just an idea.
